Match one clear line
Use the time of a short line in the video and the time at which its matching caption starts. Enter both in minutes and seconds, or hours, minutes and seconds. Decimal milliseconds are optional. The result describes the direction in plain language so you can check it against your player’s controls.
What the result changes
This tool calculates a constant offset. It does not edit a subtitle file, alter the video or control another website. Nothing is uploaded. In a player that supports synchronization, apply a small adjustment and replay the same exchange. Read the control’s label before using a plus or minus value, because interfaces may describe the direction differently.
When one adjustment is not enough
If dialogue matches near the beginning but drifts apart later, check that your caption track belongs to the same cut and episode. A growing mismatch is different from one fixed delay.
